A Collaboration - Transition your Maxi to Fall

I was so nervous publishing my first outfit post on the blog! Thankfully, I have my friend Kasey to hold my hand, she's a pro! This little collaboration has been in the works for a while now, and I couldn't be more excited!

Kasey and I decided for our first post, we should show our favorite way to transition our summer maxi dresses into fall. That way, we can continue to enjoy them as the seasons change.

Living in San Francisco, we're blessed with an Indian Summer. Meaning we enjoy warm, summer-like weather into fall. September and October is typically the warmest time of year! Just last weekend, it was nearly 80* here in the city! Since we've been enjoying this warm weather, I haven't had to put my maxi dresses away just yet.

I found this dress at Nordstrom on an end of season sale, and knew I would get a lot of wear out of it. It's perfect to wear on its own, or pair with a sweater for when the fog rolls in.

Since I wore it with an oversize cardigan, I decided to add this belt to define my waist and tie everything together.

And just for fun, I put together a third look. As a dressier option, I threw this black cardigan on over the dress. I think this would look even more put together with a gold belt to cinch the waist and add interest. I'll have to remember that for next time!

And finally, the best part of my day was working with the cutest stylist I've ever seen! I spent the day Saturday with one of my best friends, Val. She was my photographer for the day and her daughter was my stylist! She helped pick my outfit and showed me how to pose. I'm definitely going to miss her when we do our next collaboration post!

Seriously, how cute is she?!

Don't forget to head over to Life & Love With Mr. Wonderful to see how Kasey transitioned her maxi to fall! She's adorable, I want to shop in her closet!!

So what do you think, should I hang up my "style blogger" hat, or give it another shot?
