C'est La Vie

C'est La Vie Tee - JCrew Factory (Similar) // Denim - Vigoss via Nordstrom Rack (Similar) // Heels - Charles by Charles David // Purse - Kate Spade (Similar) // Watch - Michael Kors //
Rings - Nordstrom // Bracelets - Alex & Ani and Kate Spade

Lately, I've been feeling the need to do a complete closet overhaul. I'm just dissatisfied with everything in my closet. I haven't really shopped much in the last couple years, at least not like I did before moving to SF! And while I do have some key pieces I still feel good in, for the most part I just feel like everything is old and dingy looking. So, I'm slowly starting to add new pieces to my wardrobe that I feel more confident in.

One of my more recent purchases was this cute graphic tee from J. Crew Factory, a steel for $25 and an additional 30% off with a coupon I found online. I swear, I don't buy anything online without doing a quick coupon search. I usually always find at least 10% off by searching Google and Twitter, totally worth the extra effort. These jeans are an old favorite, Vigoss from Nordstrom Rack years ago, but I wear them all.the.time. They're by far my most worn denim. I love that you can pair a simple tee with jeans and heels for a put together, yet casual look. It works for brunch with the girls, or in this case a casual dinner date mid-week. This look is equally as cute with a pair of leopard or black flats, because you know I'm not walking up and down these San Francisco hills with 4" heels on!

As I mentioned on Twitter earlier this week, I'm going to be starting a new posting schedule on From Foothills To Fog. I was struggling to keep up with everything, and the blog was starting to feel more like a chore and less like the fun hobby I know it is. I think creating a more structured schedule will help me stay organized and prevent weeks of radio silence. There is no lack of inspiration or ideas, it's just about finding the time to sit down and write. So, moving forward you can expect three posts a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The subject matter will be more of the same. I plan to continue sharing all the things I love: recipes, DIY projects, crafts, outfit inspiration, style, interior design, and general lifestyle posts and stories about Andrew and my weekend shenanigans! I hope you'll stick around and follow along!

Thank you all for reading and hanging in there when posting has been more sporadic. This week I reached 100 Bloglovin' Followers as well as 100 Facebook Likes, so Thank YOU!

A big thanks to Andrea Rowe Photography for the lovely pictures!

  2. I've been feeling the same way with my wardrobe. The other night my husband suggested we go out to dinner, but after going through my closet I didn't want to. I really need to get on the roll of buying 2-3 nice pieces a month to restock my closet.

  5. Love those jeans! I, too, feel the same way about my wardrobe, especially after rent increases, etc over the past couple of years in the city.
