Weekend Update: 49ers + Crafts + Friends

Hello friends, happy Monday!

I hope you all had a fun weekend! Mine flew by, as usual. I was really busy and productive, but squeezed in a lot of fun activities too.

Friday was a low key night at home. We made an easy dinner and watch Anchor Man to prepare for the new movie coming out next week! A big group of us got tickets, I'm pretty sure there might be costumes involved too...

Saturday I was up bright and early for a 5 mile hike with one of my best friends. After our hike, we treated ourselves to a pedicure to get ready for our upcoming Holiday party. When I got home, I cleaned a little around the house before Andrew and I headed out for a date downtown. Since Christmas is in full swing in San Francisco, we thought it'd be fun to go down to Union Square to get some shopping done and have dinner. Apparently the rest of the world thought it was a good idea too! We were thinking it wouldn't be too crowded yet, but we were wrong. It was still really fun to walk around and see the decorations. We even got a few Christmas gifts purchased so that was nice. When we couldn't take anymore of the crowds, we went to dinner at a really great Mexican restaurant that Andrew goes to for lunch sometimes. It was so good, I definitely recommend it. Since it's tucked away and we got there a little on the early side, we were seated within 5 minutes. Andrew ordered a pork chop that was hands down the best pork chop I've ever had. Ever.

On Sunday Andrew left before sunrise to go snowboarding at Kirkwood. So I had the morning to myself to get some projects done. Stay tuned for some fun DIY gift ideas and holiday posts later this week! After I was finished crafting, I headed over to a friends to watch the 49er Game. We had way too much food and toasted our win with hot toddy's. Somehow, I had never had one before. Oh man, those things are good! It's like winter and holiday cheer served in a mug with a little kick! So tasty :) It ended up being the perfect way to end my day. GO Niners!

After the game I finished up our laundry, cleaned house and somehow managed to get in bed early. It's a good thing, because this week is shaping up to be a busy one. We have a cookie decorating party with friends tomorrow night, and my work Christmas Party on Friday. Plus shopping to finish and gifts to wrap, the days are just flying by. Christmas will be here before we know it!
