Gift Guide: for the Lady

Santa Baby...

Santa Baby... by fromfoothillstofog

Christmas will be here before we know it! It's my favorite time of year. Even with the hustle and bustle of shopping, wrapping, and Christmas parties, I try to find the time to sit back and enjoy this magical time of year. To think about what I'm thankful for and appreciate the wonderful people in my life. I saw this video this morning, and was so touched by it. It's a perfect reminder to remember what the holidays are all about. Even though sometimes it seems like giving and receiving material items is all that matters these days, really this time of year is about spending time with those you love. I am so thankful that we'll get to spend time with both Andrew and my family this Christmas.

I put together a little collage of some things that are on my wishlist. There is nothing I really need, but these are a few things that I wouldn't buy for myself, and would feel like a special treat to open on Christmas morning. My wishlist is a combination of my love for pretty things, photography, and fashion. I can definitely see the influence of blogging in my wishlist this year!

Even if I woke up with nothing under the tree on Christmas morning, I would still have a wonderful day. I am so excited to watch Phillip on Christmas morning. To watch him open his first gifts from Santa, and look around and observe the wonder that is Christmas. To make cappuccinos and chai latte's for my family to enjoy. And to taste the sweet cinnamon rolls my mom makes every year. These are the things I look forward to most of all. It's not about the gifts we receive, but spending time with those that matter most.

Merry Christmas, my friends!

  2. I think this is our last Christmas doing presents. Our families are just getting too big and honestly it makes the holidays a little stressful! Not the reason for the season!

  5. I need to buy my own tripod...I've been using my dad's for all of my ootd posts! He never uses it unless if we have to take a family picture or something, so I just took it. The Cupcakes & Cashmere book is so cute! I got it for Christmas last year and took it on a trip with me and I loved reading it. Emily is so cute..I wish she was my friend in real life!
