Instagram Round-Up | April 2016

And just like that, it's already May! April was a fun-filled and busy month, so of course it flew by. I can't believe I've already been back to blogging for a month now, I think I'm definitely getting back into the swing of things. I thought I'd bring back a few of the series I had prior to my long blogging break. I always loved doing an Instagram Round-Up at the end of each month, with more about the story behind each image. If you're not already, be sure to follow along here (theresamagliozzi) You can also follow along on Snapchat (tobrien129) for more behind the scenes and shenanigans.

// I bought this cute calendar on Etsy to keep by my desk and I love flipping the page each month to read the next quote. This month is my life motto, I always to try to be kinder than necessary. //

// I was cleaning out the photos on my phone and found this picture of a cute boutique in San Clemente when we were down for our friends wedding in October. It was the perfect image to portray my current desire for a new wardrobe! Not sure Andrew would like that idea... //

// Andrew and I are starting to plan a trip to Italy and I am soooo excited! I was looking through some old photos from my last trip with 2010 and I can't wait to go back and explore more of my favorite place with Andrew! I love that everywhere you turn is a cute little doorway, charming cobblestone streets and incredible architecture and history around every corner. //

// For our friend Corrie's birthday we tried a new restaurant in the Presidio called Sessions. It was a great spot with a huge beer selection and yummy food. We followed our dinner with a few games at Presidio Bowl, such a fun night with good friends! //

// My parents came down to visit for a day and we went downtown to have lunch at Tadich Grill. You can see more of our weekend in this post. //

// We have the cutest new coffee shop by our house called As Quoted. We went with my parents when they were visiting and now Andrew and I are hooked. Great coffee & toast for a fun weekend treat! //

// I participated in a fun Instagram challenge with Helen In Between in the beginning of the month that was so fun. I hope she does another one soon, it's a fun way to find new accounts to follow. //

// We had the best camping trip to Big Sur with our closest friends at the beginning of April. On the way home, Andrew and I stopped to see McWay Falls for the first time and it was just as amazing as I'd always imagined. We were lucky to have a perfect, clear day so the water was an amazing shade of turquoise blue. //

// I had to give my friend Kristin a major shout out because she is doing amazing things with her business Kristin Marie Fitness. She is an amazing personal trainer & fitness coach and is always helping to keep me motivated and inspired. She just launched an awesome new Bride Tribe Bootcamp in Austin. If you know any brides in Texas, definitely send them her way! //

// I started a new series called Wedding Wednesday and I'm sharing all the details from our wedding last September. This is a peek at some of our Engagement Photos. //

// My coworker is currently fixing up her childhood home to sell and I stopped by after work one day to see it. I fell in love with this vintage wallpaper. My Mom said her apartment in San Francisco in the late 60's had the same wallpaper but in orange! //

// I've been having a major love affair with cactus lately. Andrew and I want to get some house plants so hopefully we can find a cute little cactus to join the family. My friend Kristin took this picture and I had to regram it. //

// I've become pretty obsessed with Snapchat lately, much to Andrew's dismay (he hates when I "snap"). I love this magical filter with the flower crown, but after I posted it I realized it was for Cochella, which isn't my thing. But, I do love that this filter makes me look like I have angel skin! //

// Our good friends Jamie & Drew just moved to Buenos Aires and we had a going away BBQ for them a few weeks ago at Fort Mason. It was a perfect San Francisco day, and so much fun to enjoy the sunshine and good friends. I already miss them so much! But I know they're having the adventure of a lifetime. //

// We've been having amazing weather in the city lately. A few weeks ago Andrew went to the beach with his sister and some friends. Sadly I had some work to do and had to miss out. //

// Another peek at our Engagement pictures from my Wedding Wednesday series. This is one of my favorites. //

// A look at the pins that inspired the color palette and theme for our wedding //

// One of my favorite images from our recent camping trip to Yosemite Valley. I loved how Half Dome was hiding in the clouds. I'm working on learning as much as I can about photography, this is a little overexposed but I was trying to avoid washing out the clouds and sky. //

// The blooming dogwoods were amazing in Yosemite Valley. Nearly all of the trees have white blossoms, but I loved these pink ones! //

// It was amazing to see so much water in Yosemite Falls, usually we go during the late summer when there is much less. //

// Last week on one of my lunch breaks I snuck out of the office to check out a nearby Estate Sale. As I mentioned, I've been looking for a vintage Persian rug for our entryway. I loved this one but it wasn't the right size. I found a few on Ebay that I'm considering, but I haven't been able to commit to buying one yet. //

// This weekend Andrew and I took a little walk in our neighborhood to enjoy the beautiful day. I couldn't help but stop to see this cute pink house. Then I noticed the matching pink blossoms and had to snap a picture. //

November Instagram Round-Up

And just like that, it's Christmas! I can't believe Thanksgiving is already behind us, the tree is trimmed, and we're patiently awaiting Santa's arrival. I love this time of year, and even though I've had a cold this week, I am trying to soak it all up. Heading into December, our calendar is already full, but we're making sure to spend time with family and enjoy the season. The 24 Days of Togetherness is helping us appreciate the small things. My sister & her family as well as my parents are participating, too!

November was a great month, the highlight of course being our trip to Portland! Looking back at these pictures from Instagram, I'm reminded to be extra thankful for all of the blessings in my life...

// Favorite new scarf from my sister for my birthday! //

// Wishing I was sitting in those chairs with a good book & a cocktail! The most beautiful location for our friends wedding at Rancho Pescadero! //

// Missing my friend, Alex! It's been wayyyyy too long since we've seen each other! Over a year now! Unacceptable, this distance thing isn't working for me. We'll have to plan a weekend shopping trip or something fun next time I'm home. //

// Finally catching up on some posts from fun activities we did over the summer! //

// Fun dinner with friends before our Nikki & Jason's San Francisco Wedding! //

// Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes - a fun outfit with my new favorite scarf. //

// Face Time with Phillip is always the best. But this night was especially entertaining, that is one WILD cowboy! //

// Veterans Day Post - thank you to all those who serve or have served in the Military. I love this old picture of Poppy (Andrew's grandpa) with his plane. //

// 2nd Annual Friendsgiving - prepping our trukey with the Pioneer Woman brine recipe //

// Who's ready for pie? Homemade pumpkin pie for our Friendsgiving feast! Next year, I'll even be able to make the dough from scratch because my Aunt sent me a recipe that she says is fool proof! //

// Group shot - we had quite a crowd this year, I think 25 or so at one point. Good thing we bought a 25 pound turkey! Everyone had a great time, I love this tradition. //

// There is nothing like a Newcastle mandarin. I feel sorry for those that think Cuties are delicious, they haven't tasted the real deal! Andrew and I managed to go through two 10 pound bags, good thing my parents are delivering more this weekend. //

// Our first stop in Portland, coffee! Such a cute little shop and a tasty latte! //

// Fun with family tasting at the Distillery in St. Helens. This bloody mary was so delicious, I had to buy a bottle of the mix to bring home with me. //

// Snuggles with my favorite little guy! I can't get enough, he is just too cute. When you turn the camera around so he can see himself, it makes for an adorable selfie! //

// One of my favorite traditions during Thanksgiving is our family walks. We go at least once a day, and Phillip made it extra entertaining this year. That boy has a lot of energy! And he lovesssssss his Mimi & Papa (my parents). //

// Andrew's Mom got me this chalkboard last year and I love changing it with the seasons/holidays. Next year I want to document each design so I can remember them. I liked my pumpkin for fall! //

// My Aunt had these delicious Pomegranate-Moscato cocktails for us on Thanksgiving. Delicious and festive! Cheers! //

// So thankful for Andrew. It means so much to me to be able to spend Thanksgiving with my family, and I know it must be hard for him to be away from his. //

// Our cutest little Hot Chocolate Bar! This was one of the highlights of Thanksgiving, I'll be sharing more pictures and details next week. It was fun having this special project with my Aunt Cheri :) //

I hope you all had a great week. We've been getting a ton of much needed rain, it makes me want to curl up by the fire with a good book. This weekend both Andrew's mom and my parents are visiting, so we'll be doing some holiday activities in the city.

Be sure to follow From Foothills To Fog on Instagram to keep up with all of my adventures.

Have a wonderful weekend!

October Instagram Round-Up

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Here we are again, another month gone by! The holidays are right around the corner and I'm getting more and more excited for all the time spent with family. As always, October was an amazing month! With both Andrew and my birthday, Halloween, friends' birthday celebrations, and weddings, we've been busy!

We got home from Cabo last night after celebrating our good friends' wedding! It was an amazing weekend, I was so sad we had to come back to reality! I'll be sharing more about our trip later this week after I have a chance to upload and organize pictures. In the mean time, I wanted to look back at the highlights from October via my Instagram, this might be a record in posts for me in one month. A good indication that we've been having a lot of fun!

// October starts in the best way possible, celebrating Andrew's birthday :) The photo is from a camping trip last year, but this year we went camping on the beach in Santa Cruz with friends to celebrate! //

// These were our neighbors at the campground in Santa Cruz, and I was obsessed with this old VW van! As you might remember, I grew up camping in an old VW Westy and have always loved them. Andrew and I think it would be so fun to own one someday //

// One of my favorite summer projects was working with Tillamook, FarmBox SF, and Soda Pop PR on the Ice Cream Craving campaign creating recipes. I was a little tardy in sharing this one, but these Ice Cream pops were so delicious! Thankfully we have amazing Indian Summers here in SF, and I was able to enjoy them into October! //

// Cest La Vie! I created a few outfits for a collaboration with Andrea Rowe Photography! She is such a great photographer and I had so much fun putting outfits together for our shoot. This was the first look we did. Casual with the graphic tee and distressed denim, but the heels make it a bit more fun for a date night! //

// Pumpkins! Nothing says fall like a heap of beautifully colored pumpkins and gourds. I absolutely love fall, it always brightens my day seeing storefronts with pumpkins and festive fall decor. //

// Another one from my shoot with Andrea! Hopefully I'll get my act together and have more outfit posts for you in the coming weeks :) What do you think about looks for a Fall Wedding? Or favorite Fall trends? //

// Fleet Week is one of my favorite events here in San Francisco! Thankfully, this year the Blue Angels were back to put on a show for the city. We went to a roof top party that one of Andrew's co-workers hosted and it was the perfect spot to watch the air show overhead. There really is no better place to be than a rooftop during Fleet Week! //

// One of my favorite pictures from our visit to Dillon Beach with my sister and her family! I can't get enough of Phillip! He is just the cutest and we had so much fun playing on the beach together. I can't believe how fast he grows. I'm already counting down the days to Thanksgiving when I'll see him again. //

// Another one from Fleet Week, a re-gram from my friend Kenzie! //

// Probably my favorite post from the moth of October! Interviewing my Dad for the post I did about the movie Valley Uprising and his experiences climbing in Yosemite Valley at the time climbing history was being made. I loved sitting down to listen to his climbing stories and I learned so much about him and his various experiences rock climbing over the years. He should write a book! //

// One of the highlights of October was of course watching the Giants in the post season, and eventually becoming World Series Champions on my birthday! This was a #tbt post from a game in 2012 (another World Series year) that I went to with one of my best friends from home and her family! Re-posting this picture of me and her son Ryan must have been good luck! //

// One of the best dinners we had all month! This stuffed sweet potato recipe is a new favorite. I modified the recipe slightly, and posted the changes I made on my Facebook here. I've said it before and I'll say it again, everything I've made from Half Baked Harvest has been amazing! You should definitely give one of her recipes a try! Especially this one! //

// I posted this after we won the NLCS Championship! One of my best memories as a Giants fan was spending the afternoon on the field for Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Day! It was the day Hunter Pence arrived to SF to play for the Giants, and after hearing him during the Q&A I knew he was my favorite! Loved him from day 1, literally! //

// Another highlight from October was spending the day with our friends and celebrating their baby shower! I always love spending time with my college friends, I just wish it was more often. It was the cutest shower, I should have taken more pictures! Only a few more weeks before baby Chinn arrives!! //

// Better late than never! I finally got around to putting up my fall decorations! Nothing makes the house feel more cozy than a few seasonal and holiday decorations! //

// The second look from my shoot with Andrea Rowe Photography! This was in collaboration with House of Alva scarves. You can read more about why I love this company so much in my post, their scarves are beautiful and support the artisans and villages where they're made, a purchase you can feel good about! And you still have time to get $10 off  + free shipping on your purchase of $50 or more with the code FOOT2FOG10 through November 24th! //

// My Golden Birthday Party was one of the highlights of the month for me. I felt so loved and special that all my friends came out to celebrate and made such a huge effort dressing up and sticking with the theme for the night! Before we went out to Bourbon & Branch, we met at our house to watch the Giants game. I love this picture of Andrew's sister, Nina and I. She looked amazing and I loved her fur (which was handed down from her Aunt, making me like it even more)! //

// It was so fun celebrating with so many friends from different points in my life! It's so fun that most of my college friends are so close and we're able to see them more often now. PS - I was so impressed Shannon made her 20's headpiece and did all the beading by hand! //

// Love this picture of Andrew and I in our costumes for the night! We both had such a great time, and loved the room we rented at Bourbon & Branch. For his costume, he bought suspenders on Amazon and then we found an old bow tie that was his grandpa's, and paired it with black pants and a white dress shirt. So easy but all the guys looked so great! //

// One of my favorite little shops in Marin, Proof Lab station, is all set for fall with cozy Pendleton Blankets. I seriously want all of them! Somehow I made it out of the store with only buying a Patagonia hat I've had my eye on. //

// Another one from my birthday party! Seriously, how amazing did all my friends look?! I still can't believe how much everyone got into the theme and dressed up, I'm lucky to have such awesome friends. And since I knew we'd be at our house watching the game before heading to the bar, I bought some gold foil fridge to hang as a little step and repeat for our photos, which was really fun and festive! //

// I think the icing on the cake for the month of October was the Giants winning the World Series on my birthday! We met our friends out in the Marina to watch the game and had the best time! It was so intense for a while there, we were worried. What a close game! Thank goodness for Mad Bum, he came in and saved us - MVP! //

// As soon as Panda made the game-ending catch, the bar emptied out and everyone was on the streets. As you can see, I got soaked from all the champagne being sprayed! It was such a blast being out and celebrating with our city, I just love how everyone LOVES the Giants! It's such a fun thing to be a part of, it will always be one of the highlights of my time living in San Francisco! //

// And what is the best way to end an amazing month? Flying to Cabo for the wedding of two of our closest friends, of course! Still on the high from winning the world series the night before, Andrew and I were off to Cabo Thursday morning. It was an amazing weekend, I can't wait to share more! //

It's kind of amazing looking back and seeing everything we squeezed in to one month. So many activities and memories with our favorite people!!

Be sure to follow along on Instagram and keep up with me in real time :) I hope your October was filled with as many wonderful memories as mine was. It's hard to believe we're only a few weeks away from Thanksgiving!! Looking ahead at our calendar, Andrew and I won't be slowing down until 2015!

September Instagram Round-Up

Here we are, officially into the best month and my favorite season! I don't know what it is about fall, but there's nothing like it! Perhaps it's because it's both mine and Andrew's birthday month, as well as a handful of my friends. There is always a reason to celebrate! Plus, living in San Francisco, we don't get a traditional summer, but we are blessed with the most glorious Indian Summer that lasts through October. It's absolutely beautiful outside right now, and we're off to Santa Cruz for the weekend to enjoy it!

But before we get too excited about the month ahead, let's rewind and take a look at all the fun that was September! (I know we just did this, but I'm trying to get back on track with a regular blogging schedule).

// I've recently gotten into a bad habit. Andrew now wakes up really early for his new job. And instead of waking up with him and heading off to the gym, I've been letting Louis get up into our bed to snuggle after Andrew leaves. But I mean, who could resist that little face?! He is the best snuggle partner. I am convinced he is part human because he gets under the covers, uses a pillow, and spoons just like us! //

// September 6, 2014 was one of my best friends' wedding! It was so much fun getting ready together for her big day. I was honored to be a bridesmaid and stand by her as she and Corrie became husband and wife. We've made so many amazing memories over the years, and I know there are many more to come! //

// Corrie (the groom) is a landscape architect and he created this amazing succulent wall as a backdrop for photos during the cocktail hour at the wedding! All of the decorations were amazing, and unlike most weddings, the Groom did everything! It looked incredible! //

// I think this is my favorite picture of Andrew and I,  also taken at the wedding. I love how candid it is. It really sums up the night and how much fun we had dancing with our friends late into the night! I also love that you can see I was holding hands with sweet Addison, my other dancing partner for the evening! //

// A few weekends ago, I went home for a hair appointment and bridal shower. I know it seems ridiculous to drive over two hours for a hair appointment, but my friend Christie has been doing it for over ten years and she does an amazing job. Not to mention the prices in San Francisco are just absurd. She just moved to the cutest little salon in Auburn, that another high school friend recently opened. I was obsessed with this gallery wall! //

// My parents just celebrated their 42nd anniversary! I feel so blessed to have had such amazing parents who were also wonderful role models and really taught us about what a strong marriage looks like. They're still best friends and crazy in love. This is their prom picture from 1968, aren't they so cute? //

// I think this was my first Instagram selfie? Taken before my DMV appointment...I can't imagine why anyone would go there without an appointment! I waiting 20 minutes even with an appointment, and the line for those without was probably close to 100 people! Crazy, who wants to spend that much time at DMV? Now I'm officially a San Francisco resident, I feel like such a grown up. Don't tell, but until now, my license always had my parents address on it. //

// Gorgeous centerpieces at the LUNAFEST event I was invited to a couple weeks ago. It was such an inspiring event, I was so lucky to have been asked to participate! //

// One of my favorite quotes from LUNAFEST. It was a wonderful evening, I took so many notes and left feeling so inspired! //

// A #tbt photo from our birthday dinner date in 2013...I can't believe that was already a year ago! This year has been one of the best. We are so busy; but also so lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing friends and wonderful family. We've been able to go camping, travel to weddings, and spend time with those we love. //

// I treated myself to a manicure after work, and it was lovely. I think it should become a regular event. I can never get my nails to look as nice with an at home manicure. - Side note: I cringe every time I look at this photo because the label on the bottle in the top row makes me crazy! I would have fixed it and taken another photo but my nails were wet. I know, I sound ridiculous. //

// And another quote from LUNAFEST. It's a wonderful event that celebrates women in film and also raises money for breast cancer with The Breast Cancer Fund. Plus, any event that inspires women is a win in my book! You can read my post about the event here //

// The last weekend of September was spent celebrating the bachelorette of another dear friend! Her wedding is at the end of the month in Cabo! I can't wait, it sounds like the hurricane didn't get in the way of their dream destination wedding, thankfully!! //

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! We're celebrating Andrew's birthday with some friends and I can't wait! It's the perfect way to kick off my favorite month of the year!

Be sure to follow along on Instagram for scenes of our weekend in Santa Cruz.

I'm only one "like" away from reaching 100 on Facebook, follow along and never miss a post :)

August Instagram Round-Up

Hello friends! Long time no see blog! Sorry about my absence, I suppose I've been too busy enjoying life! But, I figured before we got any closer to October, I should finally share my Instagram Round-Up for August!

// There is nothing better than a girls night out with drinks and dinner! My good friend Nikki and I met up one Friday after work to grab a drink. One drink turned into three and sharing dinner at Elite Cafe. Love this girl so much and can't wait for her upcoming wedding in Mexico! //

// After much anticipation, it was finally time to fly to Palm Springs for a long weekend to celebrate my friends Bachelorette Party! We couldn't get in that pool soon enough! //

// A 4:30am wake up call is easy when you're flying to paradise for 4 days with your best friends! And of course, no vacation is complete without a cocktail in the airport before your flight departs! //

// Looking back at my Instagram, it's clear just how excited we were for this trip! Summer in SF can be rather gloomy, we couldn't wait to get out of the fog and into the sun! //

// My obsession with flamingos continues, I couldn't resist these little flamingo koozies for the pool. They were the perfect addition to the Bachelorette Goody-Bags we put together. //

// A little glimpse into the Bachelorette party madness! We had an awesome step & repeat made for the party to provide a fun backdrop for photos. And to kick off the weekend, we had everyone take a shot with Erica in a funny pose, and once they did we gave them their goody-bags. We got some of our best pictures from the weekend, it was hilarious! //

// One of the saddest days in August. I still can't believe that we lost Robbin Williams. He was a great source of joy and laughter, especially for our generation. Mrs. Doubtfire, Hook, Patch Adams & Dead Poets Society were some of my favorites. He'll forever be missed. //

// Nothing brightens my day like FaceTime with my nephew. He is simply the cutest and happiest little guy around. I really struggle with being far away, and not having as close of bond as I would if we lived closer. So these little visits fill me up with love until the next time I see him. //

// My girlfriends and I always watch The Bachelor together. It's our guilty pleasure and a fun excuse to hang out mid-week. To spice things up, we do a bracket with who we think will win; and the winner is treated to dinner at a restaurant of her choice. This time we went to a new restaurant in the Presidio called The Commissary. Talk about a beautiful setting for dinner! I love this city :) //

// Andrew's Mom came up to visit for the weekend and we went to brunch then walked around Hayes Valley for some shopping. I couldn't help but go inside and buy a few macarons at Chantal Guillion  for dessert. They're so beautiful and delicious! The salted caramel was amazing! //

// I was so excited to team up with Tillamook and Farm Box SF to create a recipe using their fresh summer berries and Tillamook ice cream! I shared this picture from my visit to the pop-up shop in June before I revealed my original recipe. //

// The Gotham Club! I was SO excited to visit the Gotham Club at AT&T with my parents. I took the day off work and brought my parents to the Giants game since my Dad is a big fan. And lucky for us, my boss let us go to the Gotham Club as his guests! It was so awesome, hopefully I'll have the opportunity to go back again with friends. //

// My recipe for Marionberry Pie Ice Cream Sandwiches! It was so wonderful working with Tillamook again and learning about Farm Box SF as well. I had so much fun putting this recipe together. I actually have another recipe I created that I'll share in the next week or so (I know, I'm a little late since tomorrow is officially Fall). But, I had to do something with all that ice cream in our freezer! //

What a moth! And now we're almost into October, where does the time go?! While I enjoyed my little blog break, I plan to be back to regular blogging! I'm trying to think of a schedule that will work for me, and be more consistent for my readers. How does posting Monday, Wednesday & Friday sound to you? I think that might be a good place to start! I hope to be organized enough to start that schedule next week.

Hope your week is off to a great start!

July Instagram Round-Up

I seriously can't believe it's August 1st, it just doesn't seem possible! We have had one of the busiest summers yet. I guess that's what happens when you're constantly having fun!

August is shaping up to be no different. We're diving head first into wedding madness for one of my best friends. Starting with her Bachelorette Party in Palm Springs next week! I'm busy behind the scenes getting everything ready with the other bridesmaids, I can't wait to share everything with you later!

Anyway, before I get ahead of myself, let's take a look back at July!

// The Trappist - We started our month off with company in town from New York and New Mexico, here to celebrate our friends' wedding! Our first stop after picking them up at the airport was Oakland for some beers at The Trappist! //

// The wedding was at the beautiful Clairmont Hotel in Berkeley, so we spent our 4th of July soaking up the sun at a pool party hosted by the Bride and Groom //

// The Bell Tower Suite was party central over the weekend! Amazing views of the bay and the perfect place to celebrate both the 4th and our friends nuptials! //

// Heading to the rehearsal dinner! I finally got to meet Andrew's best friend and his wife! Mary-Cris and I hit it off right away, I think they need to move back to CA! //

// Wedding Day! Andrew's childhood friend Maryann, Mary-Cris and I were buddies throughout the wedding weekend since the boys were busy with their Groomsmen duties. //

// One of Andrew's best friends, and college roommates Danny! We became great friends after a road trip to Yosemite a few years ago! Love that guy! Having fun at the reception //

// Celebrating with the Beautiful Bride and Groom at the reception! What a fun wedding, seriously one of the best weekends to date! //

// Having a little too much fun in the photo booth! What is it about those things that is so awesome? Always brings out the best craziest in people! //

// After the wedding festivities ended, we came back into the city and our friends stayed with us a few more days. On Monday, we took a vacation day to show them around the city. We rented bikes and rode across the Golden Gate which I've always wanted to do! I was bummed Karl the Fog decided to stick around, but we all had a great time. //

// Lyon Street Step - Man, these are killer. Trying to get my lungs in shape for the elevation in Yosemite, Andrew and I decided to run them one weekend morning. It was killer! I made a goal for myself to go back at least once a week until I can run them without stopping. At least the view is amazing! //

// Finally shared pictures from our Memorial Weekend in Tahoe and our hike up Mt. Rose! //

// Heading to Tuolumne Meadows for our annual camping trip with my family! It's something I look forward to all year long. This is one of my favorite pictures from three years ago, Andrew's first time joining us. //

// Our first day in Yosemite this year we did a short hike up Polly Dome. We watched the thunderstorms roll in and caught a glimpse of Half Dome in the distance. It was the perfect way to start our trip! And, I randomly had cell service at the top so why not Instagram!? //

// Our second day we did a longer hike to North Dome, which has spectacular views of Yosemite Valley and faces Half Dome. It's breathtaking to stand directly across from Half Dome. We had binoculars and watched people at the top and spotted a few getting ready to start up the cables! Hopefully we are successful at getting permits next year! Again, all that elevation meant service to post a pic! //

// This city is majorly lacking in fresh summer produce! Even at the farmers market, I haven't gotten a REAL tomato. Thankfully, my co-worker who lives in Marin County brought us some from his garden, they were amazing. There is nothing like a fresh garden tomato! //

// Celebrating another friends Bachelorette! My friend Jamie grew up in the city, and is a huge Giants fan, so we all went to the game then took a bus around the city and went bar hopping! It was such a fun night and so good to see all my college friends! If only the Giants would have gotten their act together and #beatLA //

// Back to the Lyon Street Steps. I have to say, it was slightly easier round 2! I'll be back again this weekend, I'm sticking to my goal of running them once a week! //

// A little Monday morning inspiration with one of my favorite quotes and some beautiful hydrangeas!

June Instagram Round-Up

// My Mom came to visit and Andrew and I took her to spend a few hours walking around the Mission. We stopped into Mission Cheese for a snack and decided it was our new favorite place. I mean, they have a wall of cheese! Heaven on earth! //

// Of course, we had to try a flight of cheese and cured meats. They also had pickled veggies and these amazing biscuits. My Mom and I decided we need to bring my sister here and take our time tasting all their cheeses over a class, or two, of wine! //

// Two of my favorite things, beautiful peonies in my Gram's milk glass vase. I love having fresh flowers in the house, it makes everything so cheerful. And I love any excuse to use my Gram's milk glass. //

// Another night at Bimbo's to see Mustache Harbor with my college bestie Shannon! Andrew and I are obsessed, and we've recruited a new fan! I can't get enough Yacht Rock, we're already planning our next concert. //

// An impromptu trip across the Golden Gate one evening lead to a fro-yo date! We found the cutest little shop in Larkspur, appropriately named "Mags" which is a nickname for Andrew since it's the shortened version of his last name. It had been way too long since my last fro-yo fix, and it was the perfect way to kick off summer! //

// Love this shot of the floor treatment at the San Francisco Designer Showcase! I think this was my favorite room of the house, perfectly messy and artistic! See more photos of the house here //

// One of my best friends is getting married in September!! So one evening, I put on my bridesmaid hat  and spent the night helping her address wedding invitations...she paid me in wine so it was a win-win!! //

// One of the highlights of June was being invited to attend the Tillamook Cheese Pop-Up Opening Party. Most of you know by now how much I love cheese, so this was the perfect event for me! //

// The party was so fun! A room filled with cheese and wine? It doesn't get much better! We were able to sample so many great Tillamook products and even met the CEO and Marketing Director. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. //

// Leaving with our Tillamook ice cream cones, full bellies, and big smiles! We had so much fun, thank you Tillamook! //

// After 10+ years of my dear friend Christie doing my hair, I had to go to a new stylist last month. We've been so busy lately, I couldn't find the time to drive home for a hair appointment, but thankfully the new stylist was really nice and my hair turned out great. But spending two hours in a salon chair is a lot more fun with your best friend to chat with! //

// Love having a little extra blonde for summer! //

// More peas, please! Snacking on some fresh English peas while we made dinner one evening. The perfect summer snack! //

// Finally! We got my Gram's antique dresser to use as a buffet in our dining room. This has been in storage for years, but unfortunately it doesn't quite fit in our car. Thanks to the best Dad ever, he drove it down to us one evening! It was really dirty after being in storage for years, so I gave it a good wash and polish, and now it looks beautiful in our dining room! It makes me so happy having it again. //

// We made an amazing tofu stir fry for dinner one night! It was a bit time consuming, but so worth the effort! I'd been wanting to try cauliflower rice, and it turned out so great. I didn't miss the rice one bit. And it's the best tofu I've ever made, I'll continue to use her method in the future. I'd definitely recommend trying this recipe

// World Cup fever! With all the World Cup talk the past few weeks, I was reminiscing on my time in Rome when they won the World Cup in 2006. Such fun memories! I have to say I was rooting for Argentina yesterday, but regardless of who wins (since USA & Italy were already out) I love watching soccer! //

// Stopping to admire the beautiful hydrangeas and tile steps on my run! I love the architecture and neighborhoods in this city, there is always something new to look at and admire. //

// One of the best things about summer is the abundance of fresh fruit! I can't get enough, especially peaches and berries! //

Yet another amazing month come and gone. And now we're halfway through the next one! But I love these Instagram Round-Ups and didn't want to skip one :) Did you catch the theme for June....CHEESE! Big surprise!

May Instagram Round-Up

Another month past, another Instagram Round-Up! May flew by, and if you couldn't guess from my absence on the blog, we were busy! But before we get too much further into June, let's recap May, shall we?

// One weekend we escaped the city in search of some sunshine and exercise. We found our way to Rodeo Beach and hiked up Hill 88 and along the coastline. //

// Only a few miles outside of the city, but no fog in sight! It was a beautiful day on the coast, but the wind was fierce! I'll share more pictures and details from our hike soon! //

// After our hike, we drove into Marin and stopped at one of our favorite coffee shops, Equator Coffee, that is affiliated with the Proof Lab surf shops. Our favorite store is Proof Lab Station, they have the perfect mix of everything Andrew and I love; Patagonia, Pendleton, Vintage, & Surf! //

// The following day, we had a picnic in the park with two of our close friends that came over from Oakland. We brought lunch, drinks, and played bocce ball and relaxed with the pups! It was a perfect afternoon. //

// I snapped this photo on my walk to meet Chantal for dinner a couple weeks ago. I just love San Francisco architecture, I can't help but stare at all the beautiful homes as I walk by. When I run through Pac Heights, I like to pick out all the homes I would love to live in someday #afteriwinthelotto //

// Picked up these beautiful pink tulips in celebration of Mother's Day and Andrew's Mom coming to visit for the weekend. Fresh flowers always make a room feel more cheerful! //

// Designer Showcase - more on this soon! When Andrew's Mom was visiting, we went on a tour of this amazing Presidio Heights home. I can't wait to show you the inside, it was amazing! //

// Happy Mothers Day! I missed spending Mothers Day with my Momma this year, but I was thankful we got to spend the weekend with Andrew's mom! //

// My dear friend and I went on a dinner date after our run on the beach one evening. It was an incredible, warm day in San Francisco and we dined al fresco at the cutest little Italian restaurant. Good food, good wine, and a good friend made for a perfect evening! I almost felt like I was back in Italy! //

// Heading to the Foothills for the weekend, Andrew and I made a quick stop at Marin Headlands. It was a beautiful evening so we wanted to take advantage of the view on our way out of town! Sometimes I forget how lucky we are to live in such a wonderful place. //

// Spending the weekend with Phillip is always my favorite! He's growing up so fast! We had the best weekend hiking, playing with bubbles, a BBQ at Grami's and bath time! I love being an Auntie, I just wish I got to see him more! //

// Brussels Sprouts! A regular in our dinner rotation these days...I used to always bake them, but lately I've been cooking them on the stove thanks to my friend Kasey! //

// Memorial Day Weekend in Tahoe. We had dinner on the deck at Garwoods overlooking the lake, it was the perfect way to end our first day! //

// My cousin let us stay in their cabin in Tahoe Vista, we had the most relaxing & fun weekend! We walked down to this little beach in the afternoon to lay out and enjoy the warm weather and try to get some color! //

// We hiked Mt. Rose on Sunday and I got my Fitbit record for daily steps! I actually made it to 35,000 by the end of the day, it's going to be a tough record to beat! //

// Cheering on the Giants last week at AT&T Park! Nothing like a Giants game to get you through the work week! //

// Foothills or Fog? - I posed this question on my run last week. Sometimes a run through the Presidio is just what I need when I'm missing the Foothills, it can almost look the same! //

I have to catch you up on all the fun I've been having! I promise to have posts up soon about our hikes and weekend adventures over the past few weeks! We've also been working on a few DIY projects around the house, so I hope to share those with you soon!

April Instagram Round-Up

// Waterlouge is one of my favorite apps to play with! I love the soft and whimsical look it creates //

// A beautiful sunny day in San Francisco will bring a smile to anyone's face! //

// Go Giants! Although I was stuck in the office on opening day, I tried to fine my most work appropriate orange shirt to celebrate the start of my favorite sports season! //

// Sisters! It was national sibling day, so of course I had to create a fun collage of both vintage and recent pictures of my sister and I. She is the best, I so wish we were closer. I miss her! //

// Corrie's Dirty 30 at the Sharks Game in San Jose! Erica made us all matching shirts and koozies to celebrate, it was SO much fun! //

// Sitting right on the glass with my closest friends for my first Sharks Game, definitely an impossible experience to beat! We had the Presidents Suite before the game too! Corrie should turn 30 every year...//

// Sharks! Disappointing loss last night...my friends would be impressed I actually watched quite a bit of the game and Andrew wasn't even home! //

// My first Giants game of the season with one of my best friends! Extra innings against the Dodgers! We didn't leave the stadium until after midnight. After the game the announcer said, "Good Morning San Francisco!" haha //

// Getting my oil changed on my lunch break, and found the cutest little coffee shop to sit and enjoy a latte and my book...confession: I dropped out of book club because I was so far behind. #bookclubdropout //

// My favorite face to see in the morning! My sister came down for the Dodger Giants game a few weeks ago and stayed with us. I loved getting some good morning snuggles from Phillip before I left for work. Wish it could have been a longer visit! //

// #TBT love this old picture I found of my friend and I in high school! I can't wait for her upcoming wedding, love that we've remained close for so many years. I also wish I still had that jacket...//

// I was so happy to be down in the warm Southern California sunshine for Easter weekend! We spent one afternoon walking around Encinitas and watching the surf from Swamis! //

// The cutest shop ever! I loved this little home decor/gift shop in Encinitas...I took a ton of pictures for inspiration and future DIY projects! //

// The Carlsbad Flower Fields in full bloom! //

// Let's Go Giants!...Sadly, we lost. But it was fun going to Petco Park and I was definitely surrounded by many other Giants fans! //

// Happy Easter! We spent Sunday driving home, but it was still a great weekend with Andrew's family in San Diego. I sure do miss my family though...//

//Twosday: one of my favorite link-ups with Stephanie Court. I loved this edition of "Windows & Doors." I still need to share the rest of our day spent at this cute apple farm! //

// Another picture from the Carlsbad Flower Fields. You guys are probably sick of them by now, but I can't get enough! I am going to frame some for the house. //

// I still owe you a recap of my weekend with the girls. It was SO great to all be together...there were many laughs and memories made. It was such a wonderful weekend with the girls I love most. I am so blessed to have maintained these friendships for so many years. //

// Girls day at the ball park! It was an awesome game with a walk off home run by Hicks to end it! Such a fun day! //

// A run on the beach last night to close out April! It was a great month! I'm loving this beautiful weather we're having in SF, I don't want it to end! //

// Bonus: I tried uploading this from the Padres v. Giants game
on Easter weekend but I guess it never went through!  //

I think this might be a record breaking month for Instagram! Look at all these pictures :) What a fun month it was, jam packed! I'm looking forward to some quieter weekends in the city in May...

I hope you're all having a great week! I am so happy tomorrow is Friday. We have a low key weekend planned, I'm hoping for a lot of time spent outdoors!
