Foothill Spotlight - The Pour Choice

I'm so excited about my new series, Foothill Spotlight. This is the second post in the series so far, you can see the first here. There is also at Foothills tab at the top of my site where all of these posts will live. I feel so lucky to have grown up in the foothills, and I absolutely love living here. I want to share all the amazing places in our area that we love and frequent. Especially to highlight the people behind these places who make where we live so great. Coming out of the retreat I went to recently, it's a huge priority of mine to build community locally. I know that part of the reason I have felt so compelled to share about the foothills is to help build and nurture this community, and find like minded individuals to connect with. I'm so grateful you're here, please share with anyone you think would love this series as well!

Our second location in Foothill Spotlight is The Pour Choice. They were the first of it's kind in Auburn. Trendy, delicious, and focused on building community. They've grown and truly become a local favorite. They describe themselves as the first and only craft coffee and tap room in Auburn. It's 'the marriage of all things craft with the aim of bringing people together.'  It's always the first spot mentioned to grab coffee and meet up with a friend or escape my home office for a few hours of wifi and a treat. Not only do they have amazing coffee, drinks and food, they're an integral part of the Auburn community. The way they value and support the people who live here is one of my favorite things about them. They have the Wednesday running club, live music on weekends, host pop ups with local artisans, host events like the recent Oktoberfest, help with Old Town Auburn events like the Sunday Market, and more!

Recently, I've been going more frequently to meet my friend who lives here part time before her move abroad. We meet to catch up over coffee and then work for a few hours. We even have an evening cocktail gathering coming up next week before her move to Portugal. It's truly such a gem in Auburn, and I think paved the way for many of the wonderful shops that have been opening up in the area.

Typically, I go in the mornings for coffee and breakfast. It's a toss up if I order their amazing biscuits with my cappuccino, or if I'll go with some variation of their avocado toast, but always add a deviled egg! This summer I stopped in for lunch before a hair appointment, and the Mo Betta Muffuletta sandwich was amazing as well. You really can't go wrong with their menu! Next week, I'm looking forward to getting a glass of wine and charcuterie.

If you're local and haven't been, you must make plans to visit soon and make some Pour Choices. If you're nearby, add this to your must stop list while heading up to Tahoe, or better yet, plan a weekend visit to the foothills! Follow them on Instagram here to stay up to date on all things The Pour Choice.
