I hope you all had a wonderful New Year celebration! We hosted a low key evening with our friends, it was the perfect way to end 2013!
2013 was one of the best years yet. When I look back at where I was a year ago, I can see how much I've gown. A lot of that is due to From Foothills to Fog, and all of you. I have learned so much about myself, and gained so much confidence through this blog. It's brought be so much joy getting to know all of you, and having this creative space where I can share my thoughts.
Another reason this year has been so wonderful, is Andrew. I am so thankful that we no longer have 500 miles between us, and we have made our home together here in San Francisco with Louis. For the first time in a long time, it really feels like home. Although the foothills will always be my "home home" I am so happy here with the life we've made in the city.
And of course, little Phillip joined us in 2013! Making me an Auntie and bringing so much joy to our family! It's been so fun to watch my sister as a mom, and get the video's she sends us and FaceTime with them. I miss them so much, but get the most out of all our visits together. I just love being an Auntie!
We were able to get a lot of traveling in this year. Numerous trips home to see family in both San Diego and the foothills, weekends camping with friends, our annual trip to Tuolumne Meadows, 4th of July in Tahoe with friends, and a week of relaxation together in Cabo! We're looking forward to the new year, and planning even more travels together!
