24 Days of Togetherness - 2014

Every year I always love reading about Tina and Mal's 24 Days of Togetherness. I think it's such a fun idea, and a unique way to celebrate the holidays with loved ones. So this year, I thought Andrew and I would participate! After all, that's what the holiday's are all about. Spending time with family and appreciating our many blessings in life. Even though this list is just a few small & silly things to do together, come Christmas morning we'll have created fun new memories. And maybe even a new Christmas Tradition. Andrew has no idea we're going to do this, but I think it's something he'll have fun with too!
  1. Take Louis on a long walk & look at Christmas lights
  2. Write Haikus about one another
  3. Buy a Christmas ornament together
  4. Watch a Christmas Movie
  5. Bake cookies
  6. Go out for a cocktail
  7. Make a Top 10 list about our relationship
  8. Top 10 list of places we want to travel together
  9. Go for a walk in the Presidio
  10. Wrap presents and drink wine
  11. Share a favorite Christmas memory
  12. Take a family photo
  13. Drink hot chocolate or cider
  14. Order take out & watch a movie
  15. Share 3 things you love about the other person
  16. Buy Louis a Christmas toy
  17. Buy each other a $10 gift
  18. Play cards
  19. Listen to Christmas music
  20. Choose pictures for our 2015 calendar
  21. Do an anonymous good deed
  22. Play 2 Truths and a Lie
  23. By a Christmas wreath
  24. Make a Christmas Drawing on the chalkboard
I also thought this would be a really fun thing for my sister and Josh to do with Phillip. I think it will be really fun and get him excited for a visit from Santa! He's almost 2 so I think this Christmas is going to be really magical this year! I'm planning to bring some supplies with us to Portland so we can create a jar for the Martin family to participate in 24 Days of Togetherness this year, too! Hopefully my sister is on board :)

Here are a few ideas I had for my sisters jar, can you think of anything that would be fun with kiddos? I bet my sister has great ideas, too!
  1. Read a Christmas Story
  2. Make Cookies
  3. Put an ornament on the tree
  4. Give treats to Sumo and Hank (their dogs)
  5. Color a picture for Santa
  6. Watch Rudolph
  7. Make MiMi a gift
  8. Make Papa a gift
  9. Wear new Christmas PJ's
  10. Send Aunti a Christmas video text
  11. Sing a Christmas Song
  12. Make Mamaw (Josh's Mom) a present
  13. Watch Frosty The Snowman
  14. Donate a toy to someone in need
  15. Make a hand print wreath

At the end of the month I'll be sure to do a re-cap post and share more about our activities over the 24 days. If you'd like to participate Tina created the hashtag #24DaysofTogetherness to share on Instagram
