An Afternoon in Bolinas

I fell in love with this old, rusty truck!

In December, when Andrew's mom was visiting, we spent an afternoon in Bolinas. I hadn't been there before, but Andrew's sister has suggested it for our drive up the coast. It's a quaint little beach town that seems so far removed from everything. It was a lovely afternoon, I really enjoyed walking around and taking pictures. Since it was high tide, we weren't able to walk along the beach as we'd planned. But it was still fun taking in the views and strolling through the quirky little town.

Since we weren't able to picnic on the beach, we headed north to Point Reyes and Cowgirl Creamery. Their cheese is to die for, I love the Mt. Tam & Red Hawk. We sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed our picnic before heading back towards the city.

It was such a relaxed afternoon. I love exploring the little towns along the coast. Next, I want to go to Tamales for an afternoon with wine and fresh oysters! I may have to leave Andrew at home since he isn't a fan of seafood :(

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend! It's supposed to be 70* here in the city, so we hope to get out and enjoy it, and make use of our extra day off! There will be hiking, surfing, photography, and a good dose of Football! What are your weekend plans?
